don't do anything, just keep friends. people ain't the same as they are online. not that there pretending to be someone else. like me i just feel more comfortable with people not actually knowing who i really am so i can say just about anything and not feel like 'oh i shouldn't have said that what will people think'
and most people have a more romanticized outlook on people that they cant see. and most of the time there hugely disappointed, but then again there are some who do actually click online and in real life. so maybe you should just get to know this person a little better, maybe chat online in messenger, exchange pics, and then maybe take it further.

Find out as much about each other by email, then keep it a strictly mail buddys thing for a couple of months, get to know the real person before you even think of a meeting, be prepared to be dissapointed if you did ever meet.

Well I'd talk more on a messenger like Aim, yahoo, or msn to get to know the person better. But I would never meet them. That's too risky

If I ever found myself attracted to an Avatar on Yahoo Q & A I would immediately discontinue use of the internet and seek psychological help. Thats just not right.

How would you know that you'd like someone on such a virtual community?
You don't get to see them most of the time, the answers are pretty inanimate, etc.
