Has anyone ever changed their view point based on a posted answer?
Or is it just really a fight and nobody will dare succumb to thinking maybe they were not wrong.
I find humility a scarce commodity.
The only posts are worthy of reading are athiests who do not come to bash religion [pointless] or agnostics who just don't know and suppose.
Christian nutters who even fight amongst themselves and thumb down even scripture are just too weird.
If you believe then act like you do. As for some athiests I don't know why they need to run their beliefs over to people who think there is a God. I mean don't you already accuse of religion being crammed down your throat yet seek out religious forums?

If you "lose your religion" because of Y! Answers then maybe you didn't have much to lose in the first place.
I wouldn't take a lot what is said here with a pinch of salt.

Bashing has little value. Intelligent dialog can bring some understanding - but you do have to wade through a lot of offal.
I agree that there is far too much ranting and raving and too little true discussion.
I for one refrain from 'bashing' and massive Biblical quotes. But I do sometimes fall into sarcasm when confronted with a particularly nasty, one-sided and bitter bit of bile, ofteh posed as a "question."
Thanks for your intelligent question!

I am not an atheist I am a Catholic. I agree with you. Catholics are taught not to bash other religions but we also have a duty to defend our beliefs.
I don't think it is worth it. If I were looking for a religion I would be wary of religious groups who bash other religions especially if they call themselves Christian.
Peace and blessings!

I became an Atheist from being in here. I saw how ridiculous Christianity is. Once people in here showed me the truth of Evolution, I knew how foolish it was to believe in God.

Why most atheists run everyone over with their beliefs is most Christians (which most atheists quarrel with) run people over with their beliefs. But it's a good way to blow off steam from both perspectives, so what's the big deal?

Bashing is very unnecessary. All it does is spread more hatred. We should just express our opinions without bashing others. And all good posts are worthy of reading, people can read whatever they want to read.

Religion doesn't just mean Christianity and their distorted thoughts and teachings on reality. It could be Buddhism, Hinduism, etc...

Yes. I can (honestly) think of two people who were theists but became atheists on here. Clearly, that's not enough to call it common, but it does happen.

No its not worth it. Neither is debating the Bible. People shouldn't argue about it.......its all in there for us to know and learn about. You except it or you don't.
