besides the fact that you can die from it. . .
you can(and will) get arrested and it can affect your future kids, your grades, and so much more
life is so much better without drugs
he has to realize that he isn't just hurting himself, he's hurting you and all the other people around him who care about him
he needs to understand that a temporary "happy" feeling is incomparable to the real thing which is living a long and healthy life to spend more time with the people who love you and you love
tell his mother, and get him some help. i know its a hard thing to do, because you will feel bad for turning him in, but sweets he will thank you later. trust me as i've been in a similar situation, the best thing for him right now would be for you to get him some professional help, you shouldn't have to deal with this burden alone.
try an intervention. it doesn't always work, but you have to try and make him see that he's not only hurting himself, but he's hurting everyone around him.
i hope everything works out

He's self medicating his depression. He needs to get help for depression. I would mention it to his mom or a counselor at school and tell them it is serious. If he gets help with the dpression, the other behaviors might go away on their own. And if he deals with his drug use with the counselor, they can't report him to the police because of privacy laws. This is too big a problem for you. You have to tell a responsible adult or he may spiral into suicide.
Some drugs can cause permanent brain damage (for example, meth.) Others cause cancer (smoking pot) and some others can react with certain people's chemistry and cause death even though other people do just fine. Also, street drugs aren't always pure, they get other stuff, sometimes poisonous stuff, mixed in. A younger person doesn't have a fully developed brain, so even alcohol can mess the brain up so they never develop their potential. Actually, it is proven that a brain isn't fully mature until age 25.
Please tell a responsible adult who can and will do something to help him!

okay wow i can kinda commit to u on the whole Friend depression thing but. reasons not to do drugs; a hefty fine+jail time = soap with rope, (your Friend at the age of 14) your brain doesn't stop developing until your well over 19. I am 16 have been a druggie been arrested for smoking 2 times chaught over 8 times and people will shun him for it. Ive done almost everything except PCP, tcp, and meth (nonperscribed) and it would mess with your mind i used to be great at remember peoples names but now nothing and i regret every drugg ive done. So if you have to slap him. Tell a adult because hes 14, theyll get him the help he needs for the druggs. The suicidal part theres nothing you can do he most likely is trying to get attention from you or from someone else, trying to fit in with what he thinks is cool (so just ignore this or if you realy think he might [and if hes sayin well i dont want to live just ignore it] or If your realy worried tell some one who will do what needs to been done). As for the pyromanica thats okay =D just tell him to watch what he burns and make sure its not illiegal.><

I take it you and our ex have never seen a homeless person sleeping in a doorway or a prostitute working a street corner? Most homeless people are drug addicts or alcoholics. Most prostitutes sell their bodies to make money to support their drug habits. A good percentage of our prison population are there because of crimes committed to support drug or alcohol habits.
Where is your friends mom? Can't she see the destructive road that he is headed down? The only thing that I can suggest is that you go to your school counselor and tell him or her the whole story you just told us and possibly they could contact the right people to get him into a rehab center or into some serious counseling to help him out. Your friend is going to be lucky to make it to 18 if he stays on this destructive path.

this is truthfully somewhat unhappy now. Drug trafficking is moving truly to human trafficking precise now. this is much less danger, decrease reformatory cases, and an incredible sort of of the females would be arrested before you ever do. Plus, you have the aptitude to make around $a million,000 an afternoon consistent with female. Gangs are initiating to become in touch in it further and extra.

glad to hear he is just your friend now. too much drama there. his family needs to help him. not you. help yourself by staying away. if his family doesn't know about his problems, decide on a way to tell them. i knew a guy who didn't get help, he overdosed on lsd and suffered permanent brain damage. now he wears a skirt, drools and urinates in public. he can't hold a job, he is actually mentally disabled. your friend does want to live and does care. if he didn't he would have already done himself in. so, he wants attention, he is sad about his dad's passing, etc. he is numbing himself because he doesn't know how else to cope. a good psychologist can help. he needs to stay in therapy for a while.

once you start drungs, drinking, smoking etc. its really hard to quit especially if you have depression problems and other issues which makes it really hard on your friend. YES drugs, alcohol and smoking are very bad for your health. ifs hes serious about being suicidal you really need to talk to him. no one should feel that way about them selves. He definately needs to quit and start thinking straight and possitive about himself, he should care if he dies because it will not only effect him but other people who care about him. he needs help and you should definately talk to him, or find someone who can talk to him. just make sure hes comfortable
Good Luck
