What happened to seperation of church and state? Christians do not just enter into a "marriage contract" we call it Holy Matrimony.I feel that we have failed in this area by allowing man to tamper with this sacred union.Divorce is common and now we even have same sex marriages.How far will this go on before Christians seperate themselves from this evil and go back to the Wedding Feast of God were Jesus can turn the water into wine, Holy Matrimony?

You do realize that it is possible to have a marriage that is both legal and "Holy Matrimony", right?
We aren't going to be held responsible for what we think that the government has done to the concept of marriage. We're only responsible for upholding our own vows. And the "holiness" and "sanctity" of marriage isn't about whether or not you file for a marriage license, its how well you stick to the vows you made to each other before God.

What? How is getting a marriage license getting in the way of Christian marriage? The government wants to know who is married to who for many reasons. Also, they give you a pretty marriage certificate that you can use to prove your actually married. Do you think people would stay married longer if they didn't have a marriage license? What exactly is a "Wedding Feast of God" and why is Jesus there turning water into wine? I don't understand that part of your question..... Oh, and just so you know, Gay men and women SHOULD have the right to a lawful marriage just like everyone else.

You can have your little Holy feast, but as long as you want to be recognized as a legal union, you have to purchase a marriage certificate. If you don't care and believe that marriage is strictly between you and God, have a ceremony and call it done. Just remember that you cannot file joint taxes, etc

I got married completely separate of the church, and I got a marriage license. I did not see it as having anything to do with the church, but rather as a legality.
Maybe your geographic area puts more of a religious spin on it than mine does, though.

i only wish christians would seperate themselves...maybe on some island somewhere so they can stay out of everyone elses lives . in all honesty nobody really cares what u fools do as long as it doesnt impact on normal peoples lives
