...Especially in questions where they make no sense?

Like Sawyer, I have asked this question before. The number of 'Jesus' responses I got were overwhelming. I too made it clear that "people you haven't met" (like Jesus) weren't included in the question. I am happy that you love Jesus! Wonderful. But why not answer the actual question? Some of you may feel you 'know' Jesus but none of you have actually met him.
Is it because some people are afraid that they might be wrong about their religion? Is it because they don't trust their own ideas? I believe it has become a defense mechanism.

Not the question, Fireball. The responses. The repeat of answers that had nothing whatsoever to do with the question in the first place. Kind of like this one.

Thank you, Story Junkie, for your lovely response and Bonsai Boy, for your wit. I appreciate your honesty and your ability to empathize.
Rockstar - Please read the question before you respond. I said the answers to MY question were overwhelming, not Sawyer's. What is really overwhelming is how many people feel the need to answer such a question with an unrelated answer.
HEVN BD - Oh, well that changes it all! I can see you're sure just by your title! Again, someone you never MET, dear.
