What pro has the best golf swing for me to imitate?

First off, find something that works for you. You have a unique body type, so you need to find something that's comfortable. Let that dictate it.

With that said, you can still pick up tips from golfers. My personal favorite is Fred Couples' swing. The man is smooth. It's tough to follow Tiger's lead and try to kill the ball without having something go wrong. Take it down a couple of notches, let the club do most of the work, and you'll be better off.

The easiest way to learn golf like a pro is by following "The Simple Golf Swing" program. It's primarily a 31 page eBook that teaches golfers how to make solid contact with the ball, how to avoid hitting fat, how to avoid slicing, how get more power, accuracy, and consistency in your swing. Consistency being the number 1 golf skill.

You not only get the eBook though, you also receive a ton of extra material including video, lessons on putting, driving, chipping, sand play etc. Here is their official site: http://www.golfswingguru.net

While imitation is a great form of flattery.....Its not the best way to attempt to develop a good consistant golf swing.
All of the great swings you see on TV have taken years of practice to develop. and just looking like they do will not give you the results that they achieve. Be yourself.

It really all depends on your size and swing speed. Find a golfer with similar physical characteristics and then you can look and see how they swing to help your swing. Don't copy it. Just understand it. Understand what they do in there swing and the effect on the ball. KJ Choi is a pro golfer who has used other pro's of similar body size to improve his swing, so it is definitely something that works. For me, its Gary Player, he's about 5'7 150 lbs, and watching his swing has helped me learn how to better my own.

There's not one you should imitate. Take different things from different players, and try them at the driving range and figure out your best style. It's OK to imitate things about certain players but not the entire swing.

Even the players on the PGA all have a unique swing, but it all comes down to one thing at the end..............squaring the club face at impact...

If I had a dollar for everytime a student asked me this question, I'd be a rich man...oh wait, I AM a rich man.

Look, it works this way - and please pay attention because I hate giving free advice.

First, everybody has different physical characteristics: height, weight, length of arm, size of gut, etc.

Secondly, everybody has a different "temperment" which is equally important because someone who has the temperment of Bill O'Reilly could NEVER swing like Fred Couples. Ok, he could TRY, but the results would be poor and he'd be miserable.

You swing according to your NATURE.

Learn the basics (grip stance and alignment) first, then learn to swing like YOURSELF and you'll improve much faster.

Tiger Woods' swing is pure. I actually watch more of his controlled shots than the full shots. I don't have his strength to create the type of clubhead speed he creates. I have learned how to control trajectory from watching him. I also have his book "How I Play Golf". It has helped a great deal.
