Echinacea...builds up your immune system and helps fight colds. This can be found in any drugstore. I use it all the time because I have 3 kids who come home from school and daycare with a variety of germs.

First of all, let me start by saying that you can't "cure" a cold. Also, the people that tell you to take Vitamin C are obviously very gullible and uneducated. If you don't have a vitamin deficiency, it will not help you to load up on them. Vitamins are not some kind of "super remedy" that everyone should just eat like candy. But those that recommend such remedies aren't usually very concerned about being scientifically accurate, instead they rely on testimonials, etc. About the only thing you can do is wash your hands often and refrain from touching your face, etc. Once you get a cold, there are things you can do to manage the symptoms while the cold runs its course.

I haven't had a cold per se since I started doing this. -mega doses of Vitamin C. An acidic environment helps kill the virus. If I feel a cold coming ,on I drink an entire big bottle of 100%cranberry juice over the course of about 3 hrs.

Try intravenous vitamin C. Oral dosing cannot produce the effects that I.V. dosing can. You may need to find a good Naturopathic Physician or that rare nutritionally oriented medical doctor to get an I.V. vitamin C.
