Evander 'The Real deal' Holyfield is without question one of the greatest warriors in boxing history. Obviously u have not seen any of his earlier fights only the ones the last couple of years. His war with Dwight Qawi at the Omni in Atlanta back in 86' when he lost 16 pounds during the fight and was hospitalized afterwards with kidney failure. Or how he destroyed every cruiserweight in his way to become undisputed champ. (including knocking Qawi out in their rematch). His wars with Riddick Bowe and how could u call him over hyped when just a year after getting stopped by Bowe he returns to dominate and knockout Tyson! Sure Holyfield should have hung them up a long time ago but find me 1 other true warrior in the heavyweight division that would put his entire mind, body and soul into a bout other than him. He is a throwback to the old days of fighters like Dempsey, Louis,Marciano,Ali,Frazier. True warriors that gave their all. He is one of the greats and there is no doubt about that.

P.S. Brock ur a retard with a filthy mouth and no knowledge of boxing. U called me names on ur other posting and ur offensive comments here are disgusting. U would love to get in the ring with me because u would smash me? (as u said in ur other posting directed at me) . Well son anytime u are in Los Angeles come by the L.A.Y.A.C. on san fernando road, downtown L.A. Its the late Johnny Flores' gym. I would be more than happy to give u a shot at me.

Holyfield has in no way been overhyped. The guy fought most of his career as an undersized heavy. He fought a fighters fight everytime. He took the best from just about everyone he ever faced, and, for the most part he gave them something to think about in return. Have you really looked at his career? Have you ever seen any of his fights? Can you read? Look at his career over the years. He won the Olympic bronze medal. He was voted fighter of the year 3 times. He had one of the biggest upsets in history in 1996 w/ his TKO of Tyson. He was WBA, WBC, and IBF cruiserweight champ. He's a 4 time Heavyweight Champ, won the WBC title in 90, won the WBA title in 90, won the IBF title in 90 all via the KO of Buster Douglas. Won the IBF and WBA from Bowe in 1996, Won the WBA title in 1996, won the IBF in 1997, won the WBA in 2000. Oh yeah, eventhough he's been diagnosed with a faulty heart, and a busted shoulder he's still fighting (and winning). Okay, he probaly shouldn't be fighting anymore but is there anyone with more heart and drive than he? He's fought Tyson, Lewis, Mercer, Foreman, Moorer, Stewart, Toney, Byrd, Rahman, Ruiz, Holmes, Cooper, Douglas, Dokes, Bowe and everyone in between. He all but retired, and bidded good bye to some really good fighters and former champs and/or, top ranked fighters, in Holmes, Dokes, Pinklon Thomas, Foreman and James "Quick"Tillis. I strongly suggest that you do your homework on Holyfield nd the fighters mentioned above. Holyfield was truly a warrior, one of boxings greats. Not the strongest, not the fastest, not the flashiest, not the best at any one facet of the fight game but he sure gave his all every fight. As far as I am concerned one of the Lewis fights, the Toney fight, one of the Ruiz fights and the Larry Donald fight were his worst showings. With that being said, Holyfield still gave all that he could muster up. The guy had no quit in him. He boxed, exchanged shots and always gave as good as he took. One final note, compare his fights and opponents(and their records) to the likes of Mike Tyson, Roy Jones, Lennox Lewis, Mayweather, Hopkins, Klitschko bros, and their opponents(and their records) to Evander. The guy was good. Very good. It would not surprise me at all if Evander doesn't regain one or more of the heavyweight titles. It's a longshot, but, with him I think it's (very) possible.

Holyfied simply put, beat the bully Tyson up the first time and on his way again when Tyson took the cowards way out. I love to see thugs get whipped. By the way, I don;t care for your language which is classless. Holyfield is a great fighter who never ducked anyone and fought with a lot of heart and courage.

What does record have to do with anything? Research your boxing. He fought the best and fought well against the best. He was the best Cruiserweight of all time and was a great Heavyweight of all time. Most of his losses were to top competition when he was past his prime, just like so many of the other greats, Sugar Ray Robinson included, and are you gonna say he was overrated? Marciano is overhyped.

Aceman, Cash and mowqlieboy all get thumbs ups from the blogbaba, I consider Holyfield one to the top ten heavyweights of all time. Evander defined heart during his career, and clearly the questioner is new to boxing.

Evander is living off his reputation and probably should have retired a while back. Boxing is a tough enough business on the way.

That said, he's a great champion. Holyfield showed a ton of guts in his career, beating guys he probably had no business beating.

Saved the heavyweights. Amazing how many crybabies there are about how few exciting fights there are. Evander always brought entertainment.

yeah, and overrated too. He only beat a washed up tyson (he really lost to Lewis twice, the first decision was fixed).
