You have to sign a contract so you better read it (BOTH FRONT AND BACK) before you sign anything. You need to verify the daily rate, the daily rate for insurance if you are purchasing it, and verify if there are any authorized drivers allowed. You also better inspect that darn car too before you leave the lot AND verify the gas level.

Once they have quoted a price, they can't put on extra charges without your permission, so READ what you are signing.

Oh, they'll usually try the "insurance" thing.

If you're using a Major CC, I think this covers you and even if not, your own car insurance probably does.
