FTP question, I have an FTP account, however when I updated to IE7 the link stopped working -?

It never use to work in FireFox (my main browser) so I just used IE, however when I updated the software it stopped working. Anyone know how to get IE7 out of my computer, and where to download the older version? Or am I doing something wrong?

Internet Explorer is VERY bad at handling FTP. If you are using Firefox, go to the extensions page, and install something called FireFTP. I use it all the time, and it works perfectly. (I put a link for the page in the sources)

For a stand-alone FTP program, use either CuteFTP or SmartFTP (I recommend SmartFTP, CuteFTP costs money)

FTP isn't whatever you'll layout. You with no trouble have got to mounted a FTP server in your internet server. If you should not have your possess internet server, however you pay for website hosting somewhere else, they'll deliver you with FTP entry as good. Simply use a FTP consumer akin to FileZilla Client for illustration to connect with the FTP server.

IE7 added security for FTP access, (ie, if you just use FTP in CMD, it will open, ask for username/password, then ask you to click Tools, FTP to access its again), so yes, it has changed.

In Control Panel, ADD/REMOVE software and look for Microsoft IE7 and remove the sucker.

I really dont like the new IE7.
To fix, either install mozilla firefox or a FTP client, like SmartFTP or FTP Commander (ftp commander is free)

EDIT: I never have installed IE7 after i reformatted my computer, but, try uninstalling it in "Add/Remove programs" what is in your control panel. Good luck and Thanks.
