I had the opportunity to drive many different makes and models of trucks when I was in the military. One base in Florida was enormous and we had to patrol the backwoods and swamps on roads that were barely fit for any vehicle. (looking for poachers, responding to incidents etc.) We used Ford F class trucks, Chevys, Dodge and a some imports. One truck in particular out did all the others for toughness and dependibility, the Ford F class (and these trucks were driven everyday, day and night) . Not just my opinion but everyone I worked with agreed, Ford trucks kept coming back for more abuse long after the other trucks had cried "Uncle." (broken down)

The consumer organizations like Consumer Reports rate Toyota trucks (Tacoma and Tundra) very highly. I've had a good experience with Ford. Most trucks will do well for you if you do well for them (i.e., maintenance, especially changing the oil regularly).

When you're buying, trying e-mailing the dealers for quotes. You might save some money this way. See the webpage listed below for more info.

What you need to do is drive all the pick ups you're interested in and choose the one you like best. Everyone has different tastes and needs.

and I like it you may not its up to you its your

Call me old fashion, but you again have three AMERICAN trucks where the proceeds of the sale stay here. Personally like Cherolet. Have Suburban with 270,000 miles and just passed the smog test with flying colors.

right now it would be a Chevy, they hold their resale value real good, and there always a favorite when it comes to trucks, there's always so many upgrades you can do to them that they never really get old,but id go with a Chevy right now over anything else, good luck ,hope this helps.
