... who can tell me why Virtual PC does not acknowledge a Windows 95 installation CD whereas both Windows 98 and Windows 2000 Pro installed fine without any problems. Secondly, how hard is it to physically transfer a hard drive from one computer to another and then successfully install it. Would there be any problem with Drive Letters as the hard drive being transferred obviously thinks of itself as a 'c' drive but there is obviously already a 'c' drive on the intended host computer. Third question. What is the difference between Windows 2000 and Windows ME aside from the name?

1. I do recall that earlier 95 CDs are non bootable, you need to create a boot floppy to install from CD, or create a bootable CD with the FDD bootrecord and with the 95 CAB files .

2. Not even sure what you are asking. You can move HDD from any PC to any PC as long as the BIOS can fully access it.

3. Win95/98/ME are still DOS based, meant they are GUI over DOS, 2000 does not rely on DOS .

Not sure why you titled such as non of the above is really VPC related. Its a good product, enjoy it.
