It seems to be a sort of communal ego. A sort of "We're the divinely chosen, in God's image" thing.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
it seems like they let anyone post on these things now-a-days.
FIRST OFF:
Do YOU believe that you're the descendant of a monkey? That a baboon is your cousin 685 times removed?
come on man-i mean, why do people like to instigate things?
Before you guys go and start getting on your high horse about Christians ego- I will hate to be in your shoes and when its all said and done have God the creator of the universe tell me to depart from His sight.
That will be a sad day indeed.
So maybe we have a big "ego"
OR MAYBE WE KNOW SOMETHING THAT YOU DON'T- OR SOMETHING THAT YOU SHUT YOURSELVES TOO.
I mean how foolish can you be to ask such a question?
I'm sorry, i didn't mean to put you on blast but come on, this is just getting out of hand.
I mean, I'm just a teenager, if you guys think that God doesn't exist, then that's on you. I mean, what do you have to lose anyway? Your "reputation" your "status"?
Are those worth your LIFE?
Because there'll be a time when you'll lose it ALL, and at that time, the only thing that matters will be your relationship with the ONE TRUE GOD.

I do not actually care how God created everything. I have very little interest in it. I know He is the Creator.

Many observations that point to a Creator, the fact that the universe had a beginning, that it obeys orderly laws that can me expressed precisely with mathematics, and existence of a remarkable series of "coincidences" that allow the laws of nature to support life -do not tell us much about what kind of God must be behind it all, but they do point toward and intelligent mind that could lie behind such precise and elegant principles.

There are many orthodox Christians who believe in evolution as a scientific theory. I find evolutionary monogenesis for mammals reasonable. Moo! Baah! Woof! Meow!

Depends on who you ask. I learned the hard way that my ego would get me nowhere so i took a diffrent approach, and am trying to learn the reasoning behinde everything, and then decide if ithink its real or not. But i am a Christian, and a die hard one at that.

Maybe, just maybe, it's the atheist's ego that disallows them to believe that there is a higher morality than theirs to which they must conform and, thus, they have to find fairytales like the "Theory" of Evolution to believe.

>> mammals have a common ancestor
Even if there were proven similarities, would that not rather be proof of them having a common creator?

No, my common sense tells me that evolution is one of the biggest farces running. Nothing adds up. Creation explains everything.

the only reason u believe it is because someone told you .. it doesnt make sense and the only way it makes part sense is if they stretch the time out that it takes to transform between animals to such an extreme that it cannot be tested ...

maybe some, I'm a Christian and believe God created evolution. He started from scratch, big bang and all.
