About 4.5 billion years ago, but that's whether or not God created it.

One hour. How can I say that? Well, if the young-earth creationists can claim that the stars were created with the light already en route so that their distance of millions of light years doesn't mean the world can't be 6,000 years old, then we could equally suggest that God just now created everything and created our memories so that it would all function smoothly?

If you are looking for an answer based on evidence, then look to science. If you are looking for a dogmatic answer, then you can say anything you want and find a way to justify it.

Billions and billions of years. maybe trillions. Then billions more making plants birds and animals. Bunches and Bunches before that he made spirit persons to be with him in heaven. Then last but not least he made a man. Who knows how long he was there until God decided that man should not live alone. So then his fatal mistake! He made a women just to beautiful and to perfect and to desirable.
angels left heaven to have one, lets face it guys no angel left heaven to live with one of us. Men fought over them and wars started. Anyway that was 6032 years ago. Why we don't know anyone else but we do know when the women was made. God save us from those cute little beasts.

I don't know for sure, but my guess would be 7 thousand years, because the bible said that a day would be like a thousand years in God eyes. Maybe it would be 6 thousand, because God rested on the seventh day. Just a guess.

Surely it was a ridiculously long time ago but the notion that the earth is only 6000 years old is pretty strange.

The Earth formed from a solar nebula about 4.5 billion years ago. That's not a guess; it was determined from radioactive dating techniques. The same ones that keep time from atomic clocks.

About 6230 years ago.

This guy has done a marvelous job in charts. He dates the earth about 38 years older than my calculations. But after seeing his work, I trust his work as real close.
We can actually date the earth from creation to Abraham to the year. But, it is from today back to Abraham that our historical dates have some dispute, maybe up to about 150 years (+/-).
