A little of both. Faith is an action, an effort. It is virtuous to be faithful because only through it can we learn the truth about God and Jesus. Our minds will never be completely satisfied because it cannot attain enough truth to satisfy us completly.

Faith in the correct thing is a virtue. I'm not going to say what the right thing is though, since it is diffrent for everybody. In faith, you actually open your mind to something new, and something great. But if you surrender your mind to something and dont have any say in what you do, thats when you become a fanatic or a radical.

Faith is the surrender of the heart, in otherwords there is love and devotion involved. There is no doubt.

There is no surrendering of the mind tho.

As the mind needs to question in order to protect its existence.

Not doubting something doesnt mean youre not curious about it tho ^^

And interestingly enough, when youre sincerely curious about the answers, and not just asking to satisfy a doubt, the answers come to you.

Rather interesting really. But tried and true and am sure many will agree.

Hope that helps.

Anselm of Canterbury (1033-1109) was an outstanding Christian philosopher and theologian of the eleventh century. He has been quoted as having said, "Faith surpasses reason". It is clearly more than reason because reason has it's end...faith goes on where reason ends.
Faith is a virtue in that it is action rooted in reason with substance in things hoped for and evidence of things not seen. We all have faith! The question becomes what is the focus of your faith?

Faith is seeing the invisible. God said to us, "Come, let us reason together," so God uses logic and reason to help us to faith in Him. Don't separate faith and logic!
