By the Christian definition, "sin" is unaviodable because even thinking about sex, something that no human can avoid since it's part of our biological drive to, oh, I don't know, SURVIVE as a species, is considered "lusting in your heart" and considered sinful.

It's a classic cult tactic, like it or not. Whether it's called "sin" or not, the cult tactic is to make all of the members feel unworthy--Christians just use the word "sinner" instead. That will help reinforce the childlike depedency needed for them to be good drones for 'the cause.' It's always the same, whether it's the Roman Catholic Church or the Moonies.

Trusting in yourself. We all like to think that we did the best or the most fun or most useful thing we could have in the circumstances. But we need to trust in God. Proverbs 3. Trusting in ourselves leads to trusting our own passions. James 1:14. But we have been wronged by injustice more than we could ever realise if we let our passions blind us. How do we even know how much we were born onto this earth for?

Sin has to do with trespass or transgression, both of which mean to step over. Satan is diabolos, which means to throw across. If we see what's wrong with the world, and go ahead trying to fix it ourselves, we will miss out on God's direction, mercy and protection. We will miss out on understanding and wisdom, which has to do with being ready to listen.

Nothing. I believe if you are a good person, sin can and will be avoided.

Vickie, I'm with you. I can't concentrate on this answer after looking at XD's Avatar. If there was ever a chance I would be inspired to sin it wouldn't be because of his Avatar or answer.

i'd have to say that the thing that inspires sin most is being human. we're designed to mess up. that's why God invented forgiveness; from Him and from ourselves.

Too much alcohol is number one I think. No wonder they call it "spirits" If you drink too much your consience goes out the window and anything happens. I mean you have no scrupples at all. People that have these problems should not drink at all.

Pride and greed.

Lose those and you lose sin.

I did, and I lost sin. I do not sin anymore, and if I am close to it, I am rebuked harshly and swiftly by God.
