I understand that the answers to these questions aren't exactly clear in the Bible or on Christian websites. From what you have read, what are your thoughts?

LOL, Markyyy! I think you forgot a "great" or two. Or 2500. As my name means "horny" among English-speaking Europeans I realize I must be descended from Jesus as well.

Wow that's a very good question. I'm an open-minded Christian and always thought Jesus had no children until I read the Davinci Code and the author said he wrote that book based on facts. Supposedly the book is saying that Mary Magdalene was Jesus's wife and the "Holy Grail" was the secret about the Merovingian line, that Jesus married and had children. From what I have read, the Knights Templar was guarding the documents proving Jesus had descendants but they were killed and attacked by Christians who wanted people to believe Jesus was a virgin with no children. It's something I've always wondered about ever since I read that book. I've tried to talk to a couple of other Christians including my mother but they refuse to even hear any of it. I think a lot of people should keep an open mind and try to do more research about how the Bible was written and who wrote it.

Actually, Yes and yes. There are MANY books and gosples of the bible that were not included in the main book due to conflicting stories. If you read the gosple of Mary she was married and had 2 sons. In the books (dozens written) it states that Jesus was Married and had 2 sons. His remains were stolen from the tomb he was buried in from his deciples, because It would of been a discrase for the son of god to be layed down next to murderers and theives. They moved his remains to a tomb in Jerusulum. Later his wifes remains and his sons remains. These remains were found only 8 years ago in Jerusulum. It wasn't included in the original bible because the story of him rising from the dead is much more powerful. I think its honerable and makes him more of a saint but the popular story couldn't of had Jesus marry a prostitude.

Read the Da Vinci code and Holy Blood, Holy Grail.

Of course. Mary Magdalene was the wife of Jesus Christ and was in fact pregnant with his child when Jesus was crucified. After the resurrection they moved to Egypt and founded the Gnostic church. When he went to preach to the Native Americans she and their daughter Sarah moved to France where Sarah married the local king and started the Merovingian dynasty of France.
Mary carried the Sang réal, "royal blood" in her womb which was misspelled San gréal "Holy Grail" and started a long fruitless quest. Mary is buried under the glass pyramid at the Louve Museum and Sarah at Roslyn Chapel

This all depends on your church's interpretation of the Bible. The Roman Catholics do NOT believe He had children, was married, OR brothers and sisters. His mother NEVER had sex, not even with her husband as Jesus was conceived of the 'immaculate conception'. I don't recall whether His mother died first or His father but it is believed that neither remarried or ever had sex or any other children.

Other religions as well as other Christians seem to hold completely different views on this.

In the Bible the answers are very clear... no, no, and no. This is a far fetched myth perpetuated by the gnostics and given creedence by some recent novels by Dan Browne which are no more true today than when the gnostics wrote them. I have studied the Bible and Jesus never married and never had children. Take it to the bank.

I am really into these kinds of things. According to the DaVinci Code (which I am against), Jesus had a son and was married to May Magnoline. I do not believe in this and I am Christian.

The Bible clearly shows that he lived, died, resurrected and then ascended into heaven. There was no marriage and no children.

His mission was to die for our sins......not to procreate children but for us to be adopted into God's family by way of Christ's death for us. He is the first and we are adopted. John 1:12

Jesus had 7 children, 4 boys, 3 girls.

One of the girls was named after her mom, Mary.

I traced my ancestry back to her. Mark obviously comes from Mary, that makes sense.

So, Jesus was my greatgreatgreatgreatgrandpa.

I could care less either way as a believer in Christ. If he did, great, if he didn't, great. Nothing's wrong with being a family man!
