First of all let me inform you about something you might find interesting. They have almost finished building the sycnchrotron ( A type of particle accelerator) in geneva !! According to theories of stephen hawkings this particle accelerator will prove many theories such as big-bang and many other truths will be discovered.

about religious people

Many religous people are born and raised in religous families and therefore have been sent to religious schools by their parents and after many years of studying all their beliefs are upon religious . For example : when galileo found out that its not sun which orbits around earth .but the other way around , they burnt him why??? because all those people believed what they've been told all those years !! Now if someone comes and tries to persuade them they are wrong they will feel insecured because they don't know what to trust anymore!!!

that's exactly the case with religous people !!! after years of being thought by religous people and being surrounded by religious beliefs ,its really hard for them to accept all these years they were listening to something which wasnt true. hence they will get insecured and don't know what else to believe anymore , so they try to defend their beliefs.

People want to know the answers. Overt religious people believe the bible has all the answers.

It is pretty known that there are errors in the bible. It can't be the source for all answers.

I am a religious person but I'm not associated with organized religion which is different from one another.

--------------------------------------------------
I'm religious for the simple fact that I do believe in spirit. I do believe in the supernatural. And the possiblity in a supreme being that maybe a god or goddess.

Organized religion is evil. Continuously draining money from people so that those people can be saved is a joke. All the little means to control peoples minds, bodies, spirits is just plain wicked.

Religion is good for my spirit, but Organized religion is corruption of the spirit.

People have a fragile world view, which they cannot mentally afford to be contradicted. I admit that I might logically be one of these people myself.

I completely disagree that evolution is not proven, as it has been proven many times, over and over and over, though people still choose not to believe. Evolution is a FACT, and facts do not require your belief. There is a plethera of evidence that PROVES beyond any doubt that all biological beings on this planet, including humans, have the ability to change their physiology to adapt to changes in their habitat. Evolution, as taught in school does not suggest that all creatures/humans evolved from a puddle of "ooze", that is a theory, but evolution in the sense that all creaters including humans have changed physically over time...is a FACT.

When Christopher Columbus sailed around the globe to prove it was round, many people still didn't believe, some suggested he was lying and wanted him hanged, however the earth was always round and that was a fact long before he ever set sail. Facts do not require belief to be true.

The big bang on the other hand will always be theory, because there is no physical evidence or any reproducable experiment which will yeild the same result to prove it happened. I think humanity will always be in the dark on that topic.

People choose to believe what they feel most confortable with...regardless of the FACTS. When we landed on the moon, many people chose not to believe it, and some still don't. I will admit that I choose not to believe in the bible, because if I do, that means that I will be punished for disagreeing with certain aspects of the bible or questioning it. To me the bible if taken literally, means that god is petty, cruel, and is playing a very long sick joke on humanity. I choose to believe in god however, just not the bibles interpretation of him. The bible was written by human beings in a time when few could read or write, those people recorded events and described them the best way they knew how with some obvious sensationalism of certain events. 300 years after Jesus's death, emperor constantine compiled those many tales of jesus, "folklore", into a religious doctrine which has been re-interpreted, re-translated, and used for political purposes all the way up until today. Millions of people have been killed in the name of "Christianity", which did not exist yet in the days of Jesus.

To me, the bible and god are two very different and very seperate things. I choose to believe in one but not the other, or my entire world view no longer makes any sense to me. I would have to re-think everything...and that is just not convenient, because I am cursed with being a logical creature.

Regardless of how easy it was to decieve people in the early years of human civilization, I know for a fact that humans cannot walk on water and people do not rise from the dead (Jesus). I do not believe in the bible for the same reason I do not believe in Harry Potter books.

Until Jesus comes back to life and does a sit-down with Larry King live, my world veiw is still intact.

Until some preist in the Vatican grows dorsil fins, then I guess the Christian world view is still intact as well.
