Try food. If you feed her canned food, take the can opener to the door and turn it on. If you feed her dry, either take the bag to the door and rattle it, or drop some in her bowl. Good luck.

She may be looking for a place to have her babies. Cats like to make a den for their babies to live in for the first few days, and then Momma moves them.

Of course, our three legged cat, Trixie, birthed all five of her little wigglers on the kitchen floor with an audience, too. So what do I know.

She will gravitate to hidden areas - under beds in closets, so watch where she is hanging out. She just needs a place where the babies will be left alone and where she can rest.
That's all she is looking for.

I would bring her a box outside that she can lay in - with a comfy bed pillow in the bottom and a blanket that you don't mind her giving birth on. If she has her kittens she will choose to do it there most likely and then you can just pick up the box and bring her inside.

Peace!

your cat is looking for a place to nest as do all expectent parents and apparently she isnt finding a good place to have her babys in your home. if you want her to have them in your home you need to set up a cardboard box big enough or her to move around in while she is giving birth and also has flaps on it so you can close it and just cut a hole in it about 6-8 lnches up from the bottom so when the babys get big enough to walk around they cant crawl out..place a soft cloth or towel (that is washable) in side and then place it in a dark closet and introduce her to her new nesting place. make sure you close the door leaving it opened just a crack for her to come out if she needs to. plac her food bowls and water bowls and litter box in with her so she wont have to leave for a while till she is ready...

hope this helps
i have raised loads of litters and its fun to wait till she is done letting nature take it course and then after a 24 hour period visit her and see how she is doing.
cheers
josie

ps even if your tempted to hold the babys after they are born cause they r cute DONT. #1 the mama may reject them and not feed them cause they have your sent on them and
B) they are very suseptable to feline virus which is visible as a cold in their eyes and can kill them.
if in deed they do get this virus your local vet can give you an antibiotic called amoxicillin for them . but only if they need it. just dont handle them till they are at least 4 weeks old. and if they do get a virus get the antibiotic. it is a powder form and you mix it with water when you need it so it may not hurt to have it on hand just in case. just dont add the water to it till you need it.

Please be responsible and get the cat spayed when all this is over! She's going to pick an area where she feels comfortable. Makes me wonder why she doesn't want to come in.......

Get her favorite food and put it outside and wait for her to start eating it and grab her. Then take her inside to let her finish eating it.

Relax. She just wants some private time.WIll you like to have your babies infront of public?Jk.She just wants a nice, quite, place, if you feel to uncomftroble, and don't want her in your house, put her in the garage, she will happily have her kittens in there.
