It actually far easier and cheaper for them to remain illegal. If our idiot politicians allow the amnesty bill to pass then it will be even easier for them then for people who do it the right way. They don't have to have a medical check, the z-visa is a lifetime renewal so they will never have to get full citizenship and they get full access to all of our social services, schools, hospital, etc.

And it will be cheaper for the illegals then for the law abiding immigrants. Legal immigrants have to wait until they are citizens before they can come here, the illegals don't have to go home and wait until theres room (and there isn't room for the 100 million new people coming if this passes).

I think it is because they are like children and are not willing to wait for something they decide they want. Many of them wake up one day and decide they are going to the US. They don't decide that they are going to "apply" to immigrate to the US because that would mean having to WAIT for approval of their application. And, contrary to what some others said here, yes, many of them DO pay thousands of $ to coyotes to get here. However, most of them do not, themselves, have thousands of $, but many of them have friends/relatives already in the US who they borrow the money from to pay the coyote when they arrive. Then, when they start work, they pay back their friends/relatives who they borrowed the money from. Often, when they first arrive into the US, the smugglers secure them in a house where they hold them while they call all their friends/family to pony up the money to bail them out of the house. Then, once they get released and work and pay back their friends/family and start shipping money back home every month, they also are then often called upon by friends/family members who are smuggled into the country, to pony up the money for their coyote fees. Illegal immigrants multiply exponentially this way, helping each other into the country by lending each other the money for the coyote fee. As well, when the illegals are living and working in the US, some of that money they send home gets stockpiled to finance their future returns to the US if/when they find themselves deported. Therefore, often, after the first time coming in illegally, they do then have the money themselves to pay for their future illegal incursions into the US.

Most people just simply do not know how to fix their situation and make themselves legal. Do you think the $7.00 per hour moron behind the counter wants to help them? F**k no, they couldn't care less, they want to get to 5PM to go home and collect their paycheck. The employees of our government seriously could not care less what happens. Most of them are "diversity" candidates or Equal opportunity recipients and would like nothing more than the feel of the control they actually have over another................

They don't care if they are breaking our laws. They just wan to get here. Once here, they feel they are home free.

Actually, it's really simple - Jail the employers to dry up the job market! If there are no jobs the illegals will have to go home where they belong! Enforce our current laws.

HMMM....good quistion, almost answers it's self huh. Well probally because they CAN'T! You have to have a reason to be able to come here to america legally, like for example, if you are married to a citizen, or if you can get a visa for school, or if you need to care for a relative that is a citizen, and the list goes on, but they do need some reason, they can't simply just go pay some money and get a visa or green card, if it were that simple and only a matter of money ofcourse they would do it legally, do you think they like living in constant fear? NOT.

When my husband's family applied to come to the USA, legally....the wait time was approx. 10 years. Most can't afford to wait that long to get here. Some illegals have family members that are already here and send money "home" to help bring other family members here...otherwise they couldn't afford to pay the coyotes to bring them across the border.

So where is here, exactly. Maybe once they are there and they realize that they are just getting screwed over and exploited, the realization dawns on them that if we ( the illegals ) weren't here to work for peanuts, then the rest of the place would be in a bigger pile of crap than it already is. May be they are smart to know that you actually need the illegals more, much, much, MUCH! more than you would ever, ever dare to admit, even to yourself in private yet along in public, where someone would here you.

If they had thousands of dollars to pay to get here, they wouldn't need to come here, would they? Don't just accept stories like this: think them through, and look for little (or big) hints that just don't add up -- in other words, think critically about what other people say. A better question would be: why do people perpetuate such nonsense -- what is their motive, what does it gain for them?

I guess because its inconvienient. Which to me means they are too lazy to put forth the effort that it takes.

A friend of mine's daughter had an illegal boyfriend for awhile. He paid 6 thousand dollars for fake documents and transport into the USA.

They just want to NOT be in here legally.....If they are here legally, they will have admitted that they are in a good country. If they aren't here legally, well then they don't feel so bad about bashing us.
