are slots and stuff cash play or do you get a card with money on it? I've never been to a casino and would like to know beforehand whats involved, thanks!

well, I guess that makes you a newbie (smile). when you go to a casino fill out a form for a player card (this card you put into the slot machine while you playing) as you play the card record how much and long you play the machine. Longer you play you more points you earn, this way the casino can send you offer or special deal to encourager you to return to their casino. They can offer you free room, free meal, sometimes they give you money (etc $5 to $100 playing money) that depend on how much you have spend at their casino. Any time you play at the machine or at the table make sure that you used your card. so you can get credit for the money that you leave at the casino. Now you know how it works, good luck. Oh, when you go to the casino take a set amount to play with. Foxwoods is nice casino.

I have been to Mohegan Sun a couple of times,havent been to Foxwoods yet. Mohegan Sun is like every other casino, you inser t your money into the slot machine and just start hitting the spin button. Example if you are playing a basic 25 cent slot machine, you put in $20 dollars that gives you 80 credits(80 x .25= $20.) You can hit 1, 2, or max 3 credits and it subtracts from your total. Whatever you do or play get a Mohegans Sun players card and you may get free stuff next time you come. Enjoy,have fun & good luck.

I love foxwoods and will be stopping there next week. You need to get yourself a wampum card before you do anything. They add up points on the card and it can be used to buy things or food and stuff. The slots are cash play. But the machines no longer give cash back. They give you a ticket that you just insert in the slot machine. Just like cash. They go around with free drinks all the time. Soda, beer, coffee, and alcohol drinks. They have a really good buffet there also. I have not been to Mohegan sun for three years. But I was not impressed with that place. You actually can get cash back on your points at Foxwoods. It is a portion of the amount you have earned but there is now a cash option.
You can still put coins in machines. Most put in bills. You will get a coin out but only if it's like 1 or 2. When you cash out you get a printed slip. You can cash that in for cash or reinsert it in another machine (any machine so if you were playing a 50 cent machine and moved on to dollars you can use that same slip.
You should get the Wampum card. You can swipe it in ATM type machines and may win something. Also there is a great bookstore that will take points. Also if you play bingo and pay cash for your entry - go to the Wampum Club and they will add the points to your account.
Great food at Foxwoods. Everything from a good Chinese place, great steakhouse, regular menu (Veranda downstairs) Hard Rock and Panera Bread. Free drinks in the casino when beverage person goes by. HAVE FUN AND PLEASE WIN!!!!!!!

Please Stay out way from the Casino, A lot casino will give you a card if you want it. when you play you get it to a floor or put it in the Slots that you play, then you will get points, Points are good to buy food or any thing that you can buy in the casino. you can't get cash out of your points, points are only for shopping in the casino.

No real dresscode there as far as i know, my friend wears a suit and feels VERY out of place. I'm pretty sure jeans are acceptable. However, there are no tables just so you know. Only slots! I think they have like virtualy texas hold'em though.
