There are a few "dxc" files. I blame them for the constant f**kups on my computer, but I can't afford any anti-virus programs that will supposedly get rid of them.

What you need to download is a program called Unlocker. It's free and safe and you just right click on the file and click Unlocker. Then choose Unlock. And you can delete it.

Depends on the file, if its some sort of office file, try restarting and then deleting it. If its some other type of file, I would use caution, (it could be needed by your OS) you could also google the file extension and see what it is used for and then judge if you should delete it or not.

from your description a file that cannot be moved is a file with a fixed address that IS REQUIRED for a program to run. you can get rid of these type files, but I do not recommend it.

When that message appears that means that the file you're trying to delete is in use (open); For axample, if I open a picture in my documents, and minimize it, and go back in my documents folder and I try to delete it I won't be able to do it because I have that file open (minimized). You must close all open files before you can delete them.

It depends on what the file is. If it is needed by windows, then you can't delete it. If not, you can always go into safe mode and delete it there.
