Try a 100% beef hotdog and boil them. You'll never get the exact taste but I like the ones I make at home better than the street vendors.

Well here in central Pennsylvania it would be Juniata brand hot dogs. I've tried others and nothing comes close.

I can't comment on GAG! turkey dogs?

Hebrew National. Since it is aimed at the jewish market, you know there is no excess pork fillers. They are a bit pricey, but well worth it!
