Whenever I try to play an AVI file on windows media player 11 it just plays the sound no video, it worked perfectly fine on my XP, please help?

u have 2 download the codecs..so go download DIVX and everything should run great!!!

You need the latest patch: http://www.ubuntu.org/
(I'm kidding, honestly.)
Vista is going to be dodgy for a very long time. Heck, XP was (still is). You can try getting yourself a copy of the VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/), which will play almost anything I've thrown at it.
