I am dating this girl who is only about 6 months younger than me. She is very close with her family, so much so that I think she doesn't love me as much as I love her because she doesn't need someone to love. If that makes any sense. We've been dating for about 5 months. I've been so depressed in the last 4 months because I don't know if she really loves me. She has never said it. Once I got a card from her saying at the end "Love, Audra". But lately I've been avoiding her and her twin brother because he was being rude to me and my friends. And he said he didn't realize it when I was forced to tell him why I was upset. Anyway, I told him why I was upset with Audra and I said at least she could write a letter, and he said that she doesn't have time with school work. So the next day I get a letter in my locker. Every other phrase in it is "I love you". What does this mean? She's never told me that she loves me, and she never offered to hang out or hold my hand. We've never kissed

My boyfriend went through the same thing. In fact it feels like it is him telling me. His ex was that type of girl and he thought they were in love. She later did a lot of messed up things behind his back and he still continued to give her everything he had. This girl did not hold his hand, introduce him to her friends, be gone for weeks without talking to him, never kiss him in public and the list goes on. He stayed faithful to her until he met me and realized that she was not meant to be with him. He broke up with her and after he was off his rebound he asked me out. He has never been happier. It is up to you to decide what you want to do, but before you do something that you may regret talk to her. Tell her how you feel, don't hold anything back because you want all the answers. You will know what you have to do in the end. Do you really want to continue to feel this way? It will be very difficult, but whatever you choose make sure it is a decision you will be proud of in the end. I wish you the best of luck.

You sound very young. NO it is not love. Love is a two way street nad just saying I love you means nohting anyone can say that. THat is not a phrase to just throw out there. It is time for you to move on if you are depressed for the 4 out of 5 months together than you are seriously with the wrong person. Relax and do not try to control or change anyone.

You really have to watch the movie Play It Again Sam. It's takeoff on Casablanca with Woody Alan. You, my dear fellow, are like yellow jello. You have done little to indicate how you feel, and want her top slobber all over you. Watch the movie, and you
ll know what to do.

Did you ever think that maybe she didn't write the letter.
Could be her brother playing a trick on you.
I think you should tell her you got her letter and see how she reacts. Then you'll know.
