Ok, for my whole life, I have been a straight A student. i've always gotten A's and A+'s on my repot cards, and thats what i got for my first report card of this year. But then, for my second I got
Math- B+
Science- C+
History- A-
Reading- B+
Writing- B
Now, i know it doesn't seem like a big deal, but it is for me!! Right now, i've gotton i bit better with my grades; my math is up to an A, Science is an A-, History is an A+, and writing is an A. but for some reason, my reading grade has gone down to a C+!!! I have no idea why becasue on my previous tests, I got all A's! I don't know why it all of the sudden went down! Please help me! I need to get my reading grade up to atleast a B or higher before the end of the year which is 7 school days away!!!!

Just relax! Maybe you not pay attention in class or something else. I'm smart and got good grades. I always relax so relax. Take a deep breath and breath. DON'T PANIC! IF YOU DO, YOU'RE SCREW! Ok. Anyway, next year you will do better and learn your mistake. Good Luck! =D

With 7 days left, there is very little you can do. The one thing to do now, is figure out WHY you have lower grades. What changed since last year? Have you done more extra curricular activities? Dated? New school? New teacher? Different grading scale?
But as someone that has multiple college degrees, and is a veteran of several different fields of work...don't stress it. You're doing better then most. I swear, most of the upper admin have trouble spelling their own names, and forget sending them a document with words of more then one syllable...

Yea, reading is a tough one, but easy to fix.
-Read more challenging books, with a vocabulary that's a bit over your head: Lord of the Rings... This helps you in so many ways and you wont even realize it!
-Read the newspaper
-flip through the dictionary: play with words, make them stick in your mind. You'll be amazed at how your brain will soak up words!
The quick fix way is really to go through old tests and stuff, then do like flash cards of words you dont understand.

Because you care enough to ask on this board, I know this means a great deal to you. The first person you should have asked is your teacher. As a school board member I know that all teachers love to help a student that expresses a desire to learn. We all have subjects that seem to require more effort on our part than our classmates. The key to success is to identify the problem then develop a plan to correct it. I'm sure your teachers had problem courses when they were students too.
My problem in High School was Math & I hated it because I didn't understand it... I'm now an Engineer & love the precise solutions math gives me to problems.

The easy solution is to relax. Stressing yourself is hurting you not helping you. Understand that in life we sometimes fail. We can't always win. I myself have had to drop some courses but then I came back and aced my classes. Anyways, it is thru failure that we learn.

You just need to work harder. Theres nothing else you can do. If you want, you can talk to your teachers. You mostly should be worried about just your science grade.
