Most women are really shy about that kind of thing. They're so used to the "social norm" where the guy buys the girl and drink and he's the one that comes over and hit on her. But I think it's totally fine if a woman buys a guy a drink. Maybe sooner or later, it'll catch on to most women and the roles will be switched...

I've got plenty of confidence, yet I'd never buy a drink for a guy.
To tell the truth, I hardly notice guys at bars. I'm there to have a good time, and I'm (pleasantly) surprised if one sends me a drink, but it would never occur to me to 'check out' the territory and 'stake out' a male as singularly interesting enough to spend money on him.
I guess it's just that preponderance of estrogen instead of testosterone again . . . .

There is too many woman who do this !!
but ofcourse there is also the other more conservative ones and traditional ones who think the guy has to do all the work.....its so much more fun when girls are in charge, and it is good for girls too becuz by being in charge you kinda loose the nerviousness lol

Yeah that's a cute way of letting a guy know you're interested. But we never wanna waste money on a loser if ya know what i mean...so maybe this is why it's such a rare action to take.

yeah, well guys buying girls a drink makes us feel a lot less intimidated to start a conversation. personally, I like the old fashioned guy-approaches-girl way.

Well, most guys think with the wrong head - if you sent a beer to a guy who is attached, he might not tell you - then you'll wind up being the 'other woman'. Who needs that drama.

Call me old fashion, but I dont go up to guys, they get too cocky if they know you are attracted to them. Be a Man. Im tired of seeing women chase guys, its so pathetic. If youre scared to go up to a woman then don't even try. I'm tired of girly men who are scared and want me to everything.

Well you know... thats a very masculine thing of her to do. Guys need to just not be afraid of rejection for once! Because more than likely, the girl probably likes you but they never know because no one speaks. I've seen plenty of examples :-P
However I do eye them haha.

That's definately a good way for a woman to break the ice. However, there SEVERAL other ways for them to get your attention.
