If Satan can not discourage people through hardship...he will tempt them with riches. Keep in mind that sometimes, those people who have no qualms about cutting someone else's throat to get what they want will win. But in the long run, they are the losers.

Seek a personal relationship with God and stop crying over what he has not done for you. He is not your servant. He is your master. Trust Him in all things and I can assure you He will give you everything you need....not necessarily what you want.

There are definitions of the word god that are not personified daddy figures in the sky.

People believe in the deity concept because they encounter out-of-the-ordinary events - reality shifts, answered prayers, healings etc. and the traditional fall-back is God did it. It is no different that believing in Zeus or Apollo or Minerva.

But, there is another explanation for these "miracles" if we are embedded in a multi-dimensional reality responsive to consciousness as some physicists are already postulating.

All religions teach psychological purification (baptism symbol) as a process for returning to unity with this Absolute or The Real. Jesus' metaphorical example of the death of the egoic body-level self as required for resurrection of our true nature is another part of the puzzle.

If our misperceptions are based on learned/programmed beliefs about self/world - and psychologists tell us they are mostly unconscious - isn't it possible that they could control our experience of reality? The history of philosophy has spent a lot of time on the issue of perception blocking knowledge of reality. Jesus described this rebirth of the true Self as experiencing the Kingdom of Heaven - and he was not speaking of immortality.

Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. Do some exploring.

Honestly, I think people only follow a religion and believe in a god for two reasons: Because their belief is ingrained from childhood or because they're too scared to consider the possibility that nothing happens when people die.
What's sad is that a lot of religions claim you have to believe in a higher power in order to have morality. That's a load of crap and says more about the believers than it does about nonbelievers. There have been studies done that show countries where religion is common have greater crime rates, but countries that do not practice religion have far less crime.
Also, most people are scared because as our greatest mystery, death is completely unkown. Most people are sheep. They're not leaders. Its human nature to be a bonehead, sadly.

With God in my life, I have often found peace in situations I would never have previously. I have found a hope I never knew and Joy that surpasses any I have ever experienced.

It matters not to me if when I pray God's answer is no sometimes, because in the end it always seems to work out for the best.

"As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord is flawless
He is a shield
for all who take refuge in him.
For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God?
It is God who arms me with strength
and makes my way perfect."

What if everything went your way?

Wouldn't that leave them out?

Can you please everyone?

Did you ask him into your heart?

Did you try and find out what that means?

Have you asked fellow people in church?

Pastors?

Have you researched for Christians with tragic lives who still belive?

I suggest you read up on someone called C. S. Lewis, AKA Jack.
