No, the account information can not be changed once the return is filed The refund will be sent out as a paper check once the IRS receives the refund back from the bank

The bad news: You can't.
The good news: The number you typed is most likely not a valid account number. When the bank can't find the account, they will reject the direct deposit and the IRS will mail you a check.
