I'm a student so most of my meals are created from things already in my home so I know what you're dealing with!

If you see anything you fancy just search for a recipe online. This may give you some inspiration...

Pancakes are always nice to make. Just mix flour, one egg, and some milk until you have a nice consistency then cook them as you like them.
Omelette, scrambled eggs, poached eggs.
Sandwiches/toast.
Pasta with a homemade sauce (just chop and fry an onion with a crushed garlic clove and add a can of chopped tomatoes, then boil it up until thickened and add to cooked pasta.
Rice with any bits and bobs you have laying around e.g. onions, peppers, ham, bacon, peas, sweetcorn etc. (Boil some rice and add anything you fancy to it. Makes a really simple, tasty and filling meal.)
Bruschetta - use a stale baguette and cut slices around 2cm thick. Brush a little olive oil onto the bread and pop it into the oven at 200C (Gas mark 6) on a tray, along with a red pepper (deseeded and brushed with olive oil). When the bread has browned remove it and leave the pepper in until the skin has turned black on the edges. Slice your favourite cheese onto the bread and pop the pepper on top. Drizzle with pesto. Enjoy!
If you have chicken you will be able to cook a multitude of meals. You could butterfly a chicken breast and grill it. Once it is cooked add cheese and ham, fold the breast in half and continue cooking until the cheese is melted. Serve with a salad.
Chicken salad. Grill some chicken until cooked and add to salad of your choice.

There are so many things you can do. If I get stuck I use www.bbc.co.uk/recipes and use the recipe finder. You can add ingredients you have to the search and it finds recipes containing those things.

Have fun!

Food Network and Real Simple have great recipes with foods most people have at home. But some good ideas are:
1. Make Mac 'n' Cheese but throw in ground beef and chopped up bell peppers
2. Grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with tomato soup
3. Spaghetti with whatever's in the fridge for sauce
4. Pizza (dough is just flour, oil, water) with whatever toppings you have in the fridge.

You could make cheese omelets, most everyone has eggs and sliced cheese. Tuna noodle casserole uses common ingredients, you can also sub the tuna with canned chicken and use cream of chicken or celery soup. Goulash is what I usually make without having to make a run to the store. Hope this helps.

A Spanish Tortilla is quick, easy, delicious, and filling.
1. Chop up one potato and one onion.
2. Crack two eggs into a bowl and stir with a fork.
3. Pour eggs into pan with potato and onion.
4. Mix in pan, then let cook until the egg appears scrambled, and has slightly browned potatoes and onions bits embedded in it.
5. Eat! Or, as we say here, ¡Coma!
