One of the key elements necessary for world peace is love. peace follows love naturally. if we agree on this, then why is it so difficult to attain world peace? What's holding us back? Could it be possible that the idea of "love your neighbour as you love yourself" is a lot easier said than done?

Or......is it just that we're all just caught up focusing on our differences and our varying views that we can't begin to conceive an idea of world peace and unity? Maybe if we focus more on our similarities than our differences, we'd be in a better position to attain world peace. Let's start with the most basic similarity - we're all human and we all need love.

What do you think?

Peace.....and Love.

As amazing as world peace would be, I don't think it'd ever be possible as I think it unfortunatly goes against human nature.

However, if it were possible, I think there's more to the equation than you're considering. Yes, we should love, and if we loved we'd be peaceful, but before humanity can think about loving each other we need to strive to understand each other.

I think people want the drama, and the disitinction between people. We are afraid of being loved because we can't love ourselves. And if there was world peace, what would happen? We are afraid of the unkown, and that is certainly a big step into the unkown.

Yes but I would have to say history is like an endless waltz with the three beats of war, peace and revolution.

As long as humans are willing to "obey" those in "authority," to do their bidding, to kill others for no reason other than to obtain more power for the powerful, more money for the wealthy, there will be wars.

Most places that are under constant war are places that have enviromental issues. Basically there are limited resources for everybody so they have to kill each other.

There will not be peace until the millennial reign of Jesus Christ, when Satan will be bound in the abyss for 1,000 years.
