i have a small subwoofer.pretty good sound but not quite satisfied.i want it to hit those really really low notes and if it cant hit those low notes then i at least want it to shake my room.any help is much appreciated.

Sorry, not much you can do. The lowest note is determined by the mechanical properties of the system. Part of the shaking you want depends on that lowest frequency so no amount of amp power or anything else is going to change that. As for the advice to make it as airtight as possible, not so if you have a vented system and I'll bet you have a ducted port. Close off the port and you will will lose the boost that the port gives above and below the resonant freq. of the enclosure.

The Kicker CompVR Subwoofer is a very good car subwoofer. It’s a little more expensive than some of the other ones on the market but totally worth it. For a sound that is tight and crisp and not muddy this is the way to go.

try sealing the box that it is in with caulk or plumbers putty make it as air tight as possible
