You must mean Vista Beta. That ended in December 2006. Vista is not free, not even if you get an illegal copy. What you'll get with it will do more harm to your computer than you can fix.

Even if you find one, it most certainly will not be a legitimate copy to pass Microsoft validation. Installing an OS without any chance of validation is like buying a brand new car that has absolutely no warranty. In any case, Vista Home Basic lacks several of the principal Vista features and should really be withdrawn. Anybody thinking about Vista should disregard the Home Basic option as it is more or less a cosmetic Vista rather than a fully operational full-feature Vista

Vista basic does absolutely nothing... and you don't and can't get it free,
try any of the websites below and get something better than vista premium
