I would look deep into the eyes of a loved one standing over me, get them to pull a little closer...

"AND THEN STEAL AND CONSUME THEIR PRECIOUS LIVE-GIVING SOUL SO I MAY CONTINUE TO LIVE FOR ETERNITY, AS THEIR NOW DRAINED CORPSE FALLS LIFELESS TO MY FEET, AND THEN RISE UP AGAIN TO TREAD THE JEWELED THRONES OF THE EARTH WITH MY SANDALLED FEET FOR ANOTHER THOUSAND YEARS...!!!"

(evil, booming, hideous laugh of insidious triumph...and then the sound of a window opening...a whoosh of air...and then sudden silence...)

I would say something to a kid about being willing to die because I know they will make me proud after I'm gone.

I've read too many stories where parents will tell their kids what a big disappointment the kid is to them or what a failure they are going to be, and it's like a curse they can't shake.

"Open your heart and listen for God's voice"

As to why: Because I would wish that all people could be blessed as I have been blessed. It has nothing to do with religion or heaven or hell...it is just the wonderful peace that I have had since I responded to and have been walking with my creator. It has been truly awesome.

I would tell my 3 year old daughter that I love her and even though she won't be able to see me any more, that I'll be watching over her.

I won't for a moment believe this is true- but it will certainly make my child feel better.

Hopefully I'll be calling the names of God (at least mentally if won't be able to do it aloud) and try to fix my mind on Him. Because "Whatever state of being one remembers when he quits his body, O son of Kunti, that state he will attain without fail." Bhagavad-gita, chapter 8 "Attaining the Supreme", verse 6.
