No, but that doesn't mean they don't. We still have religions "governing" some countries, i.e. Iran.

No, because politics and wars are secular things. People who belong to religions may become passionate in a cause, but this is their own choice. For a religion to get involved in politics and war would mean that every member of that religion had to have the same desires for the secular government. There would be too much potential for abuse of a system like that... Hence separation of religion and state.

Religions do not get involved in war because they disapprove of them. Also there is no way for them to get into Politics unless there is a candidate who is strong about one religion. When a candidate is strong about one religion it is hard for them to get elected so therefore Religion suffers to get involved. This question is too vague to be asked really.

Religion is the cause of most wars in the first place. And relgion absolutely should not get involved in politics - the US is losing its separation of church and state these days.

Religions are the basis of society. You cannot have wars and politics without them, our personal convictions are what program how we function as individuals and groups. Even no religion is religious. They bind people together, people search for countries and leaders who's reasonings and actions match their own ideals. Its what makes governments and countries.

People might hate a political leader who has personal convictions and lives by them, causing wars and upheaval, but trust me, the leader without personal conviction should be feared worse than any war.

Religions have always been involved in wars. Those little things that were called the Crusades, sacking Constantinople, to modern day suicide bombings. Every soldier in any war feels as though God is on their side, even if they are Christian fighting Christian (World Wars, American Civil War, Revolutionary War), or Muslim vs Muslim (turn on the news on any station). Don't even get me on the poor Jews (6 million Jews dead from the Nazi Holocaust).

Example: Even the Nazis had "Gott mit Uns" on their belt buckles ("God with us").

No, religion has no evidence so people can't act upon it, it's illogical to fight or argue for something with no evince to back your point. Furthermore religion even contradicts itself in many cases so image involving religion in war or politics? I can't!

No, they shouldn't. Too much emotion, too much power at the top, not enough answering to the people.

Religions, in the past, have caused wars, and ruled politics. The results were disaster, famine, and death.

No because not everyone believes in the same religion. That is why we have separation of church and state.

no because we shouldnt let beliefs get in the way of facts and reality. im not saying religion is bad or people shouldnt practice it but you should be able to keep your private life out of your work if your a polictian. if i went to work everyday and questioned what my boss wants me to do because of my religious beliefs i would be fired. It should be no different with any government. we the people are supposed to be their bosses( as long as you have enough$) and they have been come to work drunk and looking for a fight for way to long. most of them need to be fired(out of a cannon?)
