Suppose we had the technology to add the image of one more U.S. President to Mount Rushmore.

Who would you want to see added?

I would think Kennedy and Reagan would be the top contenders.

Doubtful this would ever happen, but it would be interesting to see who people would want up there.

The four should be removed not added to. Mount Rushmore is a sacred place to the Sioux and was desecrated by a racist artist. I say remove the sculptures and put them where they belong, Washington D.C.

You have to remember that your mirror image only shows the front and a little to the sides. Photos look slightly different because you're seeing more of your face, especially the left and right profiles. This can be strange for some people, and why a lot of us get a little freaked out when watching ourselves on film. Don't worry. The mirror image is what we all see when facing you. It is the best representation of your face. If you are happy with it, then you have nothing more to think about. No-one is perfect, nor should they be. Even the most beautiful people in the world see faults in themselves. Michelle Pfiffer (actress who played Cat woman in a Batman movie, was the teacher in Dangerous Minds, amongst many other film roles, Dangerous Liaisons, etc, recently played the mother of the blonde girl in Hairspray,) thinks she looks like a duck! She doesn't, she's a very beautiful woman. Perhaps you should have more faith in the people around you. If they say you look great, you should believe them. Do you have any reason not to trust them? Do you really think they'd lie to you?

Anybody BUT Reagan. His wife, et al, want everything that ain't nailed down to be named for this "actor".....who thought he was in a movie for eight years !!!!! I am so tired of everyone worshiping at the feet of this guy.

If they were to add someone, without question, it should be Franklin D. Roosevelt. The greatest president of the 20th Century.

FDR for previously stated reasons and then Truman. Truman created an international policy that curbed and ultimately contained communism (Containment policy followed by every president until the fall of USSR). He intergrated the military. He tried to implement a national health care plan, saved social security from being dismantled by the GOP, created the nuclear submarine program, the atomic energy commission putting the control of atomic research in civilian hands, and after meeting Tricky Dick Nixon one time, he refferred to him as a shifty eyed Son of a B***H who couldn't be trusted. Then Kennedy and Clinton should receive consideration.

FDR or Kennedy...my vote would probably have to be FDR, for pulling this country back out from the drpession and the social programs he started that were needed badly, as well as for the courage to keep wanting to fight in Europe before Pearl Harbor, when the rest of the country wanted to be isolationists.

i think jackson or madison.

i also think a president should have to be out of office for at least 50 years before he's a contender - and any who was voted out after one term shouldnt be considered.

edit
im sorry, somone said clinton ushered in peace? oh, right, because he won the cold war and vigorously fought the threat of terrorism. how could i forget......

Reagan

The Presidents on Mount Rushmore were picked for various reasons

Washington: He was the first
Jefferson He double the size of the nation and lead westward expansion
Lincoln Because he preserved the union
Teddy Roosevelt Because he created the first national parks

Under that criteria Only FDR because of saving the nation in the depression and WWII
and Clinton because he tripled the size of our nation parks qualifies but I think we should leave it well enough alone
