One can accept reality or one can reject it and replace it with what they see as 'reality'.

Every individual is accountable for their own choices - even if the choice is made for their own version of reality over what is actual reality. Such of course doesn't change reality - just their own personal choice of how to approach reality within the individual life.

The personal choice determines if God is indeed a "myth" within the individual choice made. It doesn't change the reality - just their own approach within their own life - which could very well be the correct or wrong choice.

It all boils down to personal responsiblity and choices made.

"The Power of Myth" Joseph Campbell excellent **** I learn something every time i see it brilliant. Please its on you tube or something its long so you might not see it all but in bits please check it out. you make it like myths are lies. If you want to see if there is any good behind them check it out. Myths are more important than you may think as far as God being a lie. Well if God is a lie than so is all consciousness. And where does the tao fit in all this for you. is god everthing and everywhere if so then is he a she. is he good and evil ?dark and light yin and yang? how can god be both? good and evil?if not then is god not everywhere in everything?and if god is everywhere and everything then is not that all of existence is God. why is there a good purpose for evil? is there? God is a word used to describe something that is beyond the comprehension of the describer. I love god thank you i will slit my wrists yes and use my blood to draw crosses on the wall and then i will go to heaven and there will be lots of clouds. and angels harps and the bearded old man and the throne with no sex drugs and rockn roll hows that heaven. its like visitng pops eternally please lord forgive me. what the hell. and bin ladens here what the **** is up with that. i want my money back. so send me to hell all my friends are there anyway. better music SLAYER

Remember that descriptions of things are not the thing themselves. So any idea you come up about what/who god is myth. Concept is not the thing conceived just as your mother is not your thoughts about her.

Now, Something does exist because stuff happens. If you want to call that god then god is no myth. But our understanding of this fact is about as pure myth as you can get.

I do not believe god is myth. But I do believe that all our stories about god/s are myths. This is because we are not like god and can not comprehend god. So we make up stories to try to explain what god is about or what we think god is and attribute these stories/scriptures to people who wrote them as having been "divinely inspired" by god.

God is fake... he has to be.

I don't believe in life after death, in heaven or in hell.

Living forever would be pointles... not to mention pretty boring.

I just think some guy who was bored one day decided to see if he could mess with people's minds a bit.

And look how ****** up everything is now because of religion, of all types.

I'm a firm non-believer.

That would depend on your definition of God.

Depends on which god. Yaweh, I Am, Jehovah is not. Zeus, Athena, Buddah are all mythical gods. Satan is in a way a god(little g). He is worshipped he is real and he is powerful.

To those of us who know Him...obviously not. But, if you don't believe He exists, then you could not know Him...so I guess you can think what you like.
