Can you rent a car.

Pick any hotel in Bergen County and they should have a pool.
Then you can drive to one of the NJ Transit rail stations and park and go to NYC>
Ramsey Route 17 is a station with a high rise parking lot that is under capacity so you can visit any time.
Ramsey also has a number of hotels/ extended stays with pools.

It depends on how far you're willing to take the train.... There is a great B&B in Croton which is seviced by a major metro north station - and the train gets you into grand central in under an hour (for an express train).
