Try a new vet, seriously, that's ridiculous, some breeds don't ever reach 4 pounds, lol.
I wonder if that vet refuses to vaccinate young pups of any breed, it's just strange, we vaccinate anything over 6 weeks.
Good luck :)

You need to do a searchfor a vet that knows how to take care of the small breeds i have a full grown 2 pound pom and a 2 1/2 pound chi they have both had allthere shots. i haven't found anyone though that can get them fixed as teh anesthesia can kill them.
Just so you know there is no such thing as a teacup chi. tehy are normally suppose to be 5-8 pounds yours is a runt.
you should have nutrical as these small dogs can get sudden sugar drops especcially on a long trip tehy can die form a sugar drop. Ask a good vet about this problem.and is it safe for the pup to travel
good luck.

If your puppy is 4 months old and healthy, it may be possible to give a reduced shot. If you have a local vet school, go there and talk with them. Thye usually have a clinic that can either help you out or explain things in more detail.

Is your dog otherwise healthy? Is he over 6 weeks of age? If so you need to find another vet because usually dogs are vaccinated at 6-9 weeks.good luck

How much does your dog weigh now? You could try feeding him more often, or you could ask the vet for helpful tips on fatting your chihuahua. If that doesn't work, and it's not possible by wednesday, you could leave him with someone, unless its 100% necessary that he comes. Good luck in your fattening process!

Many chihuahuas don't get to be over 4lbs! Vaccinations are usually based on age. I would get a second opinion.

Well, if he's not big enough to get his shots there's not much we can do about it. You'll either have to cancel the trip or leave the dog at home.
