My Maltese was recently neutered, and so he had the cone on his head for 2 weeks and I didn't comb him because he was in pain and it was hard with the cone. So, he's now been shaved down to a very short coat. How long will it take to grow back?

That DP answer was kinda mean.... I think your dog is scared! Goodness, something strange just happened to him! He's scared to death and it would be tramatizing to be combed. It will NOT take FOREVER to grow back! It'll take only a few months. Don't beat yourself up or believe that the dog's haor will never come back.

You didn't brush him cause he was in pain from being neutered?? Come on, that's a pretty lame excuse.. He wasn't in any pain, you just didn't feel like doing it..
Will take forever to grow back, you will begin to wonder if it is ever going to come back..
