For ALL have sinned and fallen short of God's standard.
He is merciful toward you, and not willing that any should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance.

Jesus did not come into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Can't you see that His kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?

Thank God someone is aware of His mercy and love. Those who are blind to it also experience it. The next time someone thinks God is not merciful ask why you are still breathing. Ask why you deserve to be enjoying yourself. You don't deserve it but God grants it

It's a shame that Reportbot doesn't get that acting according to one's nature should not necessarily coincide with acting according to selfishness or carnal instinct because God made man's nature in His image and likeness, and sin did not destroy man's nature, even if it wounded it (sorry prots, I'm a Catholic and reject Luther's idea that man remains only a sinner redeemed without the possibility of ever becoming perfected, see 1 Thes 5).

I do think that His patience is loving. Thank God for his fidelity despite my infidelity.

Oh and Sun, no Father in his right mind would allow his Son to die for the sins of others. Hell is a reality due to the freedom of man. God does not force man to accept redemption. Man is still free to completely say no to God. And such a thing actually saddens God because God is loving and wills all to be in comunion in Him. But love can't force anything and neither does love deny the truth of sin and free will.

But what does the world need saving for? What did jesus accomplish by "dying for our sins?" Why would anyone create a plan where the only way people are "saved" is by another dying? I though god was all powerful...

i'm no longer religious, yet I do have heavy sociological / anthropological history. in case you experience the ought to "concern" your God, then it is considering the fact which you experience liable for some thing, or you desire to experience victimized. maximum individuals do no longer concern their God. They love their God. God is like the main suitable chief. As Machiavelli pronounced, a good chief ought to be the two enjoyed and feared. If he's merely enjoyed, then human beings will nonetheless do what they desire against his desires at cases. If he's merely feared, then they won't love their very own lives, basically doing what he needs out of outrage of ramifications. in the event that they love and concern him, then they are going to do what he needs out of affection and comprehend first, and out of outrage 2nd. enable me attempt to apply a diverse analogy for God... God, in maximum peoples' eyes, is nearly a good confirm. a good confirm makes use of two aspects love and a million section self-discipline to verify human beings lead a good existence. a million section love is unconditional. God loves you unconditionally, considering the fact which you're his creation. (merely as a confirm loves their infant unconditionally). a million section love is for effective reinforcement. God shows you desire to reward your good habit. that's what maximum individuals call "advantages", "miracles", and so on. mum and dad do an identical with them toddlers; provide them hugs while they prevail. a million section self-discipline is used for destructive reinforcement. God punishes human beings while they have been undesirable. mum and dad do an identical to toddlers. Now, maximum individuals will stick to a Godly existence through fact they comprehend and love God through a million section unconditional love, and a million section effective reinforcement. If that doesn't artwork then they concern the a million section self-discipline. regardless of the undeniable fact that, what's "blessing" and "punishment" from God is subjective. diverse religions, or maybe persons, would even see some thing as a blessing mutually as others see it as a curse. all of us can see notwithstanding they desire into some thing. while a mom hugs a infant, it is exceedingly tangible that it is a hug. yet, while a individual famous $5 on the line is that a blessing? What if it merely facilitates them to do some thing undesirable? i think of the extra proper thank you to look at God is that he supplies human beings opportunities. The $5 is an probability. How the guy chooses to apply that probability dictates no count if it is a "blessing" or "curse".

Oh yeah? Then why did he slaughter the pagans of the old Testament, without mercy? He was so wonderfully kind, tolerant and patient that he demanded his people kill thousands of non--Jews. REAL nice.

Saved from what? Sin is made up. Hell is made up.

No God in his right mind would allow hell to exist.
