I think many Christians do missions work without even realizing it. Anywhere you share the gospel with someone is a mission field. I enjoy missions involving children. Not just ministering to children, but helping children to minister to others. Last year I worked very closely with the "missions" part of AWANA at our church. It was a great expirience. Hopefully soon my children and I will be able to go on some of the short-term mission trips with our church, to Mexico, maybe the Dominican Republic or even Moldova.

I did have an opportunity almost 4 years ago in juarez, Mexico. Of course, it was to help some of the people there...mainly those belonging to a certain congregation. We built or finished a cinder block wall out in back of their sanctuary and laid a concrete sidewalk close to the street. We also taught English to the children in the mornings. Going on a mission is always worthwhile; you should definitely sign up and participate in one...it will be, quite possibly, the most rewarding experience of your life (or certainly one of them). ps. We also put in electrical wiring inside the building.

There are all kinds of mission work available. I love teaching kids in a Christian school. I worked in the missions field in maintenance and also as a teacher.

I would looooove to do mission work. I wished my church got more involved with flying out to 3rd world countries and actually lend a hand with a building project etc. Our church donates a lot of monetary gifts as well as other things but we never seem to go that far and get involved in mission work. Wish we did :)

I would love to go to Russia and Africa and get involved with Habitat for Humanity. I've heard it's quite costly though with the shots you have to get and plane ticket there along with accomodations. I would hop on a plane in a split second and go help. Someday . . .

While I am still strong and able, I want to help the workers in the Habitat for Humanity mission. I can't right now because I am needed elsewhere in my family but I do support them financially.

I think its awesome what they are doing around the world providing homes for people.

Every Christian is called to be a missionary! :) Jesus said to GO into Judea, Samaria and the ends of the Earth... we should be sharing God's love to others all the time, whether in our home town or across an ocean. That said, I would like to share the Gospel with the people in Germany or the Czech Republic. Their cultures are so disconnected from God and the hope he offers in Jesus Christ. They are beautiful, wonderful people in beautiful, wonderful countries. They just need so badly to hear about Christ's love and hope. :)

I had the opportunity last September and went to Spain to pray over parts of it. An opportunity was given by my church, as a group was being formed to go, and so I felt the Holy Spirit quickening my spirit regarding this. There is a new church plant in a place called Olot. Praise God.

I think everybody's mission work begins at home with your family. If you have children they are your mission and not traveling far away to Africa or some other place to convert others. Often we do excellent work and provide for others but sadly neglect our own.
