Christians were actually wrong all along. And the second coming takes place but God turns out to be pure evil and he comes to enslave mankind. Some demonic or alien force from another world coming back to claim this world for its own. Would you fight it then? The story is actually all turned around, enemies of God are villivied and shunned and their warnings ignored.

This actually does sound like the Old Testament God and even touches on some Gnostic ideas. So this is a reverse Pascals wager I suppose.

If you believed in God you now stand to lose everything. Since you are easy prey.

Yes Kenyai I suppose it would be similar situation. This is sometimes the feeling I get from the Christians who believe in a coming theocracy.

And Xenu, body thetons and evil psychiatrists make any less sense than talking snakes, donkeys, and people walking on water.

Interesting theory. Should be a good read once the fundies start coming around, but as an Atheist, I just can't accept that a deity of any sort exists, good or evil.

Edit: Fireball-do you believe everything you read?

Pascal's Wager actually increases the theists chances of being wrong about God. Really, they're just rolling the dice.
