I know of a person I just met, and she gossips about everyone and everything. She told me candidly that she likes to know EVERYTHING about everyone and once she knows all, she will dump the person or friendship and continue to destroy them by saying negative slanderous things against them.
I try to avoid her but she shops where I shop and goes to the same market and laundry and she comes 20 minutes across from town. No. I do not gossip. I refrain because it is a sin.

My Q is why does she do this, and what could be her motives for destroying people with her sulfuric tounge?

On here is a form of gossip isn't it? Anyway I spose you cant knock her out either if you think gossip is a sin ,people who do gossip have a low self worth any form of putting someone else down is to try to look better themselves you say you've tried everything say you really dont want to hear what she has to say try telling her or give her a shock that's if you really cant avoid her

Eph 6:12

Before you go to the market/laundry/shop plead the blood of Jesus over you. Ask the Lord to send you warrior angels for your protection. Put your full armor of God on.

Pray for her bc she is attacked by the enemy. Bind the spirit of gossip & darkness and loose the spirit of love & joy upon her. Pray the Lord delivers her from her spiritual blindness.
You can also let her know in a polite way that you're not interested in knowing everybody's business.

Apparently some people live life in this way. I knew a girl who liked to do this years ago. I cut her out of my life when I could no longer stand her betrayal.

Maybe low self esteem? I suppose that it makes her feel powerful and important to be able to do this to other people.
