What is the point in school if all you do is review?

I've never heard of a school in which all you do is review. However, I do know that students often complain about the repetitiveness of reviewing something they learned earlier, but then when they are tested on that material, they don't know it at all. Reviewing is intended to reinforce the learning so that you retain it.
