Wow I am amazed by the ignorance of most of the answers here. I feel dumber for reading most of them. Especially the ones who attempt to argue with your third point but yet they are saying exatly what you said.

1) Do you realize that some people who believe in God believe in Evolution? Evolution has nothing to do with how life started on earth, but rather the evolution of those species throughout time due to geographic seperations or food source issues, amoung others.
2) They are arguing about Evolution in the Religious section clearly because they are outlining their own religious beliefs and undermining evolution.
3) Do you realize it's likely the same people answering questions regardless of whether it's in Biology or R&S?

properly, truthfully truthfully everyone with some training contained in the situation can see for themselves the appalling lack of know-how displayed by employing the creationists contained in the solutions right here! Now, this is the way it works: The mayor fundies desperate that concept of evolution is evil because of the fact it makes their creation myths pointless. The mayor fundies arise with some misinterpretation they unfold between the minor fundies. Now, this works advantageous because of the fact the minor fundies in ordinary terms touch with medical subject concerns is the texts and web content created by employing the mayor fundies. The minor fundies don't comprehend that the mayor fundies at the instant are not experts of evolution (theory they could desire to have the means to comprehend a CV) yet swallows each and every observe with out questioning. They pass on by employing copying and pasting those "arguments" and truthfully think of they have been given a element. That the medical community, each and every of the colleges and ninety 9.ninety 9% of the biologists evaluate evolution as a actuality ought to lead them to think of two times, yet they do no longer.....

Agnostic here - point by point.
1. Correct.
2. Correct - science neither proves nor disproves the existence of god.
3. Correct.
4. Yes - BON VOYAGE!
Simply put, most Evangelicals believe that since the word of god must be literal, then creationism must be exactly as the bible said it happened. As such, to disprove creationism is to undermine religion. To disprove evolution (scientifically) would advance humanity.
How ironic.

scientia - The Latin root for the modern word science is defined as:
"That which proves or validates Religion" in the Origonal Latin.
Of course, if Religion is designed for controlling masses of people. and inspiring war... Science would very much oppose that. This "Religion" fights Science so that man can control it instead of God...
"A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side." - Aristotle (who first discovered the 5 states of matter, which he called "elements" of which 'Magick' or 'Miracles' are composed).

Most of the time when people have alot to say they are trying to convince themselves not the one they are arguing with. Not to mention I really doubt god would care if you believe evolution or not. I would hope he just wants us to be good people. If a man wanted everyone on the planet to believe countless unbelievable stories about him and get on our knees etc... to worship him wouldn't we think him a total jerk? why would God be any different. ITS NOT THAT IMPORTANT!!!!!!!

1st We are told how dumb we are time and time again by having faith in God and believe that this earth was made by his hand.
2nd We are told time and time again how creation has never been proven when evolution or carbon dating either one has been proven. Carbon dating has been proven wrong more times that right.
This is why we ask the question because all we ever hear is that it is scientific fact that evolution happened when its false, evolution is just a THEORY!

I never argue creationism vs. evolution. Never. If someone doesn't want to believe the biblical account of creation, that's their choice.

Well to accept Evolution you have to believe in it. I don't care what evolutionist say they place their faith in something and they just chose to let it be evolution. Evolutionist did not see evolution take places millions and millions of years ago, they don't have records of it either. So actually Evolutionist makes evolution there religion.
