that's right... you didn't "come from" an ape. We share a common ancestor, but we did not evolve from apes.
Our small fingers and toes have been shrinking for a long time, so we may lose those in several thousand years. We may also become completely hairless except for our heads at some point.
But apes will always be apes and humans will always be humans.

We don't know what is next. Evolution is a mechanism, not a set path. But whatever happens, will happen far off in the future. Human beings are thriving so evolution moves very slowly for us. If we would face a world-wide plague that really threatened our very survival, any humans who were immune to it would have an immediate advantage over everyone else. It'd take something like that for evolution to work faster for us.
But I'll be sure to take your cuteness into account in the future.

If we actually do continue to evolve we will become a weak one eyed creature with rather elongated fingers perhaps a extra one or two for typing on a keyboard with atrophied legs and a bulbous body with over developed sex drives and organs, and absolutely no interest in anything but money.

Can you trace your family back 50,000 generations? How about even ten? Then you can't really say that, can you? Nope. I'm sorry, but kittens are way cuter than you.
Try opening a science book on evolution. Mutations are random, you don't know what's coming next or what we'll need next.

To actually answer your question, who knows what we're going to evolve into next. We're changing right now, but it would be interesting to see what we're going to become.

First of all, apes are cute. We did not evolve... Scientists think so and they can apparently prove it... Well, i for one believe in Jesus and that he died to save our asses from all the sins and he will come again. You got to believe now not when you see him, it will then be too late......

Probably something smarter, and etc. We seem to be selecting for that. However, our immune systtems are being selected badly, due to our easy breeding.
And gorillas find other gorillas cute. They might think you look nasty, like you think they do.

It's amazing what 400,000 years can do, huh? Actually, we will continue to evolve whether you "believe" in it or not. Our little toes have almost disappeared, our ears are getting smaller and we have lost most of our body hair. That's what I call progress!!

we arent evolving drastically. if you understood evolution you would know that technological innovation has stopped that process. but we will (and have) experience genetic drift... for example humans have been getting taller throughout the generations
