look for a used 19'-21' with a 150Hp. Hydrasport, trophy, seaswirl and proline are some good fiberglass boats. Lund and Pacific are some nice aluminum. look on boats.com

If you want near shore fishing (say within a mile or so) or in bays, why not get an ocean kayak? Guys are fishing from them and catching very large fish (sharks, cobia, mackeral, etc). They come complete with rod holders, a place to keep a depth finder, etc. Very sophisticated and cost is under $1500.00.

If you are only looking to spend 15K then buy used.15K is not much to start with,I have about that in electronics(used)
