Jesus Christ did not come to earth to make a religion, men not knowing his purpose made a religion out of his life and teaching. His whole purpose was to pay man's debt of Sin and restore man's relationship with God. Religion is worshiping what you know about God or a god . Relationship is knowing God and his Son and having them living inside of you by God's Spirit.
It is up to you to make you own decision to receive God's Spirit by repenting And believing on his Son.

Chrsitanity is unique among the relgions because of the ff: 1-THE LORD JESUS CHRIST is a Prophet like Mohammad, Buddha, etc but HE is the highest among the Prophets and HIS title is THE ALFA AND THE OMEGA--AS GOD.2- THE LORD JESUS CHRIST is MAN-GOD as prophesied by Prophet Isaiah in (Isa 9:6). 3-It is an old relgion based on the Abrahamic religion and thus, it has a long period of history. 4-THE LORD JESUS CHRIST is the only ONE prophesied to come back and rule the whole earth and the universe evenso, Prophet Mohammad in the 2nd Book of the Islam prophesied that THE LORD JESUS CHRIST will come again the 2nd time thus, Mohammad is not the one who will come again. 5-Christianity as based on Abrahamic religion has a host of prophets in the past that prophesied about the 1st coming of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.6-THE LORD JESUS CHRIST is the only ONE with a witness who ascended in heaven and this was witness by Mohammad himself when he was carried by Archangel Gabriel to heaven he saw THE LORD JESUS CHRIST sitting at the right hand of GOD while Mohammad and all the Prophets were in the audience. 7-THE LORD JESUS CHRIST as shown in visions of Prophets to be the only ONE given the authority over heaven and earth and thus,HE IS THE LORD AND GOD of this universe. THANKS THE LORD GOD; FEAR THE LORD GOD; PRAISE THE LORD GOD; GLORIFY THE LORD GOD; HONOR THE LORD GOD; LOVE THE LORD GOD AND WORSHIP THE LORD GOD. .

They will say it is a personal relationship with Jesus and all that and claim that it is not a religion! Actually it is not unique at all. The whole dying and rising god theme, offering salvation has been done long before Christianity anyway. There is almost nothing original about it.

The main difference is that Christians believe the Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he's the one who saved us from our sins by dying for us and then he rose from the dead.

There exists other differences in terms of doctrines and rites.
