I keep reading christians stating "you are either with us or againsts us...".What makes you think that your religion is the true religion?

The problem with everyone: religious or not, is that they "think" they are better. I, as a Christian, can tell you: no one is better than the next. We are all sinners, we are all still searching for the answers--*because none of us know for sure the exact truth*---Only God knows that and the Bible tells you that. It says that there are many mysteries than man is not to find out. So, I say to you, anyone who claims to have all of the answers is in err. And anyone who says they are better than anyone else --God will deal with on his own terms.

1. God knew before we did, that we would choose Him.
2. Out of all the religions and philosophies of this world, only one states, through Jesus Christ our Lord, that no one will get to Father God except they come through Jesus.
Most other religions tell you that you can reach God by either doing it your own way or following specific steps or formulas only. We believe through faith in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit that dwells in us that teaches us all truth.
Of course, Satan, being able to transform himself as an angel of light can counterfeit the things of God, so we must be very careful that we are not believing a lie. That is why you need to know the scriptures.

Because God said it is so. I have the faith and the belief that it is true. But Religion is a man made thing. It is a way to put God in a box. I have a relationship with the one true God that defines the way I live my life.

To answer your first question, the bible says God chose us before the foundation of the world to be found holy and righteous in His sight (through faith in His son).
So, yes, we are chosen.
